BOCOG Official Meets Wellington Mayor

Liu Jingmin, executive vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) met with visiting Mayor of Wellington Kerry Prendergast on Friday.

 

 

Liu Jingmin, executive vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) met with visiting Mayor of Wellington Kerry Prendergast on November 3, 2006.

 

Liu briefed the guest on Beijing's preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games and answered questions on Olympic security, accommodation, transport, tourism and reception as well Games-time cultural activities.

 

Kerry spoke highly of the progress that Beijing has made in preparation for the Olympiad and said her city wants to draw experience from Beijing as Wellington will hold 2011 Rugby World Cup.
