A photo exhibition named "Chinese People's life Through Lens" was inaugurated in New Delhi, capital of Indian on Thursday evening.
Organized by China Society for Human Rights Studies and co-organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in India and Indian Unity International, the exhibition will display 160 photos about people's life in China from July 26 to Aug. 3.
"For Indian people who can not go to China, they can through this exhibition know about China's progress and the activities of Chinese people," said Dr. A. R. Kidwai, governor of Indian northern state of Haryana, adding that the younger generation of the two countries should know more about each other.
"Now let's bring you closer to China, into this wonderful land, and together let's experience a country both of a long history and modernity, and perceive the simple and real life of modern Chinese people," said a statement of the photo exhibition.
