China is ready to further its cooperation with South Korea on science and technology, said State Councilor Chen Zhili in Beijing on Tuesday.

China and South Korea enjoy bright prospect in terms of science and technology cooperation, Chen told Kim Woo-shik, South Korean deputy prime minister and minister of science and technology.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of China-South Korea diplomatic ties, and the 15th anniversary of a pact on science and technology.

The cooperation between the two countries in this regard has contributed much to boosting economies and promoting bilateral ties, Chen said.
