Thai Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont Tuesday met with visiting State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan, who stressed Chinese government's steady stance on promoting friendly cooperation between the two countries.
Tang, who arrived in Bangkok on Tuesday to make a three-day working visit, conveyed to Surayud the greeting and an invitation for a visit to China from Premier Wen Jiabao.
Tang reiterated that China and Thailand have shared deep mutual trust on political issues and common interests in many aspects during a 32-year establishment of diplomatic relations. China would maintain the policy of promoting friendly relations and mutually-beneficial cooperation between the two countries, no matter what changes occur in international political climate, Tang said.
Surayud told Tang that Thailand and China has kept a close, steady and comprehensive cooperative relationship, and he looked forward to the visit to China as early as possible.
