A "Confucius Classroom" broadcast will be presented in Turkey according to a memorandum signed between China and Turkey on Saturday.
The program is expected to serve all Turks interested in Chinese culture through broadcast and online radio programs provided by the Turkish service of China Radio International.
A Turkish official with an organization dedicated to Sino-Turkish cooperation hoped the program, featuring Chinese language instruction, would help deepen mutual understanding between the two peoples.
A Chinese official in charge of Chinese cultural promotion around the world, Xu Lin, said broadcasting "Confucius Classroom" will provide locals a wider channel to learn more about China.
In addition to the Confucius Institutes already established in dozens of countries around the world, the broadcasting classroom program will benefit even more local people, Xu added.
According to Xu, China will boost the program by providing teachers, financial support and teaching materials.
