Wang Jiarui, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with Japanese lawmaker from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party Takeshi Noda in Beijing Sunday.
Wang, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, exchanged views with Noda on Sino-Japanese relations.
He said the bilateral relationship has shown a momentum of growth and the two countries should face the future and work together for the stable and sound development of bilateral friendly cooperation.
Noda, also chairman of the Japan-China Society, said the top leaders of the two countries have pushed forward greatly the bilateral ties through wise political resolution.
He said the two sides should maintain communication and exchanges at various levels to create a favorable environment for increasing cooperation in all fields.
