Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said in Hanoi, Vietnam yesterday that China is ready to deepen cooperation with New Zealand in various fields which is beneficial for both sides.
Li made remarks while meeting with his New Zealand's counterpart Winston Peters on the sidelines of the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Ministerial Meeting.
China and New Zealand will celebrate the 35th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties next year, Li said, adding China is willing to make joint efforts with New Zealand in deepening mutual cooperation and further enhancing the comprehensive and cooperative ties between the two countries from a new starting point.
Noting that New Zealand will firmly uphold the one-China policy, Peters said his country is ready to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China on international and regional issues.
