A French escort vessel, Fs Vendemiaire, headed by Captain Royer de Vericourt, arrived in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, on Sunday for a four-day goodwill visit.

 

Royer de Vericourt met with Yu Shaoying, commander of a naval base of the People's Liberation Army in Guangdong.

 

Royer de Vericourt said this visit aims to promote the relations between the peoples and armed forces of the two countries.

 

Fs Vendemiaire is scheduled to open for public on November 1.

 

This is the third time for Fs Vendemiaire to visit Guangzhou and the former twice were in November 2001 and November 2005.
