Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Saturday that China, as a friendly neighboring country, hopes Nepal can recover peace and stability as soon as possible.

 

In response to a reporter's question about the current situation in Nepal, Qin said that China welcomes Nepalese King Gyanendra's recent speech to the nation, which will be helpful for political reconciliation in the country.

 

The Chinese government will make continued efforts to promote China-Nepal good-neighbor friendship, Qin said.
