Guo Boxiong, vice chairman of the Chinese Central Military Commission (CMC), met with a visiting Cuban military delegation in Beijing on Monday.
The delegation, invited by the General Logistics Department of the Chinese Liberation Army (PLA), was led by Claro Orlando Almaguel Vidal, director of the General Logistics Department of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.
Guo said the military relations of the two countries had witnessed great progress in recent years, with frequent high-ranking visits and smooth cooperation in technical and personnel training. He added that the Chinese side is willing to continue to work with the Cuban side to further promote China-Cuba relations.
Guo noted that the two countries have supported each other in international affairs and friendship is in the fundamental interest of the two peoples and is conducive to world peace and stability.
Guo also briefed the guests on China's domestic development and exchanged views with them on issues of common concern.
Almaguel said the Cuban side is also willing to strengthen cooperation in all areas between the two countries.
