Adjust font size:

Vanuatuan Prime Minister Ham Lini visited south China's Hainan Province Thursday, acquainting himself with the development situation of local agriculture and tourism.

Lini, also president of Vanuatu's National United Party, arrived in Haikou Tuesday on a nine-day Hainan tour as guest of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

When meeting with Wang Xiaofeng, secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, Lini expressed appreciation for the Chinese government to provide long-term support to Vanuatu's social and economic development.

The traditional friendship between Vanuatu and China will be further promoted, Lini said.

He also agreed with Wang's suggestion to further increase exchanges and cooperation between Vanuatu and Hainan, since both sides share much in common in natural resources.
