Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni said on Tuesday that he will continue to push forward and strengthen the all-around traditional relationship between Cambodia and China.
Sihamoni made the remarks during meeting with Hu Qianwen, the outgoing Chinese ambassador to Cambodia.
Citing China as Cambodia's best-friendly country, Sihamoni said he will follow his father's will to spare no efforts to develop and consolidate the traditional friendship between Cambodia and China.
"I have the special and brotherly affection for China and the Chinese people when I was very young. Our Royal family, our government and our people will never forget the sincere and selfless assistance and support from China," Sihamoni said.
He expressed his belief that the traditional relations between Cambodia and China will pass on generation to generation.
Meanwhile, Sihamoni highly valued the efforts made by ambassador Hu Qianwen on promoting Cambodia's stability and development, as well as the contribution on enhancing the friendship relations between the two countries during his tenure of office in Phnom Penh.
