Nepal will organize China Trade Fair (CTF) 2006 in Kathmandu on March 23-27 next year to promote Chinese products in Nepal, the organizer said on Monday.
"The main objective of the five-day CTF is to show high quality Chinese products to Nepalese and other South Asian businessmen who visit the fair," Anoop Ranjan Bhattarai, president of Nepal-China Executive Council, a non-governmental friendship organization of Nepal, told Xinhua.
The fair is being organized by Nepal-China Executive Council with the cooperation of the Chinese embassy in Nepal.
The CTF 2006 will cover Chinese products which have good demand in Nepal like those made by ZTE, Haier, Konka, TCL, and Changhong. It will include industrial raw materials, medicine and health products, machinery, automobiles, construction machinery, agriculture machinery and tools, electronics, textile and garments and tourism, according to Bhattarai.
The CTF 2006 is a good venue for Chinese companies to show their quality products to Nepali people, to discuss with Nepali entrepreneurs the possibilities of working together, and to study the areas of investment, said Bhattarai.
Through this event, Nepali people can learn about the economic development in China and the exhibitors will have the opportunity to explore the Nepalese market and make contacts with Nepalese business partners, Bhattarai noted.
The embassy of China in Nepal and Nepal-China Executive Council jointly organized the first CTF in Kathmandu on April 15-18 this year.
