An evening entertainment was held Tuesday night in the China Theatre to greet the forthcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, with central leaders including Hu Jintao attending, along with a large audience.

The performance included dancing, singing and acrobatics, unfolding a whole picture of a harmonious society, the unity of the army and the people, the festive atmosphere nationwide, and the delight of all ethnic groups in creating their happy life over the past year.

The soiree was organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army, among others.
