Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed new ambassadors to five countries on Thursday, in accordance with the decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC).
Xie Hangsheng was appointed the ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, replacing Zhen Jianguo.
Li Zhongliang was appointed the ambassador to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, replacing Wang Xiaoyuan.
Wang Xiaoyuan was appointed the ambassador to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, replacing Wang Yongzhan.
Su Jian was appointed the ambassador to the Democratic Republic of East Timor, replacing Chen Duqing.
Wei Ruixing was appointed the ambassador to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, replacing Li Zhengjun.
