Ingredients: 500 grams (1.1 lb)wheat flour 10 grams (1/3 oz) yeast (optional according the kind of lour used) 10 grams (2 tsp) cooking oil 20 grams (2/3 oz)finely cut scallions 5 grams (5/6 tsp) salt 2 grams (1/2 tsp) MSG
Directions: 1. Add the yeast to the flour or use self-rising flour. Add 200 g (2/5 cup) of lukewarm water and mix well. Put it aside for an hour.
2. Roll the dough in to long thin shape and press into a flat rectangle. Apply a thin layer of oil, sprinkle the salt, Msg and scallion. Roll up away from the cook into one big long piece. Cut into 25 small sections and press hard with your finger in the middle of each section till both ends rise beautifully.
3. Put 2000 g (4 cups) of water in the steamer and bring it to boil. Put in the dough and steam for 15 minutes until they are ready.
