Adjust font size:  ZoomIn ZoomOut

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki in Shanghai Thursday.

The two foreign ministers exchanged views on bilateral ties, the Iranian nuclear issue and other issues of common concern.

Mottaki is among the entourage of Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, who came to Shanghai for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held on Thursday.

Iran was granted the observer country status in 2005 by the regional organization, which groups China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Mongolia, India and Pakistan are also observer countries of the SCO.
