The poster has been released for Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's new war film
The Assembly during the 60th Cannes Film Festival ongoing in France.
The poster, with its slogan of "Every Sacrifice Deserves to be Immortalized" on it, was praised for its design's Chinese flavor.
In addition to the poster, a seven-minute clip of the movie was released in Cannes. International film companies have showed great interest in the Chinese war story, saying that from the clip alone, they could see the mature techniques and intriguing plot twists of the film.
The Assembly is adapted from a short story about a soldier who seeks recognition for his fallen comrades during the Chinese civil war (1945 - 1949).
Feng, one of the most successful commercial directors in China, released The Banquet, last year - an adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet, starring Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi.
At present he is busy with the post production stages of the film back in China.
