The cross-cultural movie Dark Matter, starring Chinese actor Liu Ye, was selected to feature at this year's Sundance Film Festival, which runs through this Sunday.
The just-finished film is slated to make its world premiere at the festival held in Park City, Utah of the United States.
Liu Ye, who is widely acclaimed in China and has been named Golden Horse Awards' Best Actor, collaborated with this year's Golden Globes' Best Actress Meryl Streep for the film.
However, the 29-year-old star has said he never eyed an international career, saying it was more practical to focus on Chinese audiences.
Directed by Chen Shizheng, Dark Matter is based on the true story of Chinese students studying in American universities in the 1990s.
