The debut concert for Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's latest project, The Banquet, was staged in Beijing on Sunday night, as reported by the Beijing News.

 

The film's cast and crew, including director Feng Xiaogang, music director Tan Dun and Chinese mainland actress Zhou Xun attended the original music concert.

 

The Song of Yue People, a prelude to the film by famous Mongolian singer Teng Ger, opened the concert, while Super Girl Zhang Liangying performed the theme song of the film, I Will Answer to Your Love with All I Have.

The concert last night was a promotional event ahead of its world premiere, scheduled for the Venice Film Festival later in September.
