Northwest China: Affected by streams of cold air, December 25, northern Xinjiang will be overcast with light snow. December 26-27, some areas of Gansu, Ningxia and northern Shaanxi will be overcast with occasional snowfalls accompanied by force 4-5 northerly winds. Temperatures in eastern parts of the region will drop. December 28-29, some eastern parts will continue to have showers or light snow. December 30-31, most of the region will be dominated by cloudy skies while southeastern parts will be overcast with the possibility of light snow or rain.  

 

North China: Affected by strong streams of cold air, December 25-27, most of the region will become overcast with light snow while some northernmost areas will have heavy snow with force 4-6 northerly winds and lower temperatures. Affected by more cold air, December 28-30, middle and northernmost parts will experience further snow with initially force 4 southerly and then northerly winds. Temperatures will fall.

 

Northeast China: December 25-27, affected by streams of cold air, most areas will have light to moderate snow with moderate to heavy falls expected in some areas, accompanied by force 4-6 northerly or southerly winds as well as colder temperatures. December 29-31, further cold air will bring snow, lower temperatures with force 4 southerly and then northerly winds. 

 

Central China: December 25-26, middle and northern parts will be overcast with light rain or snow while some southern areas will have fog. December 27-28, affected by streams of cold air many parts will have force 4-5 northerly winds from north to south with a drop in temperatures. December 30-31, most of the region will be cloudy to overcast with light rain or snowfalls expected in middle and northern parts.

 

East China: December 25-26, most areas will have sunny to cloudy skies with fog in some southern areas. December 26-27, the majority of the area will be cloudy to overcast while northern parts will have light to moderate snow or light rainfall. Areas south of the Yangtze River will have light to moderate rainfall. December 27-28, the majority of the region will blow force 4-6 northerly winds from north to south with low temperatures. December 30-31, most areas will be cloudy to overcast while middle and northern areas will see light rain or snow, force 4 northerly winds and low temperatures. Southern areas will be overcast with light rain.  

 

South China: December 25-27, most of the region will be dominated by cloudy weather. Northern areas will be cloudy to overcast with light rain or showers. Some eastern areas will have fog with no big changes in temperature. December 28-29, affected by cold air most areas will blow force 4-5 northerly winds with lower temperatures. December 30-31, mainly cloudy in most of the region with light rain expected in western and northern areas.  

 

Southwest China: December 25-26, southeastern areas of the Sichuan Basin and northern Guizhou will have showers or light rain. Most other areas will be sunny to cloudy with possible fog in some of the Sichuan Basin. December 27-29, affected by cold air, eastern areas will receive light rain or snow with lower temperatures while parts of Guizhou Province will have icy rain. December 30-31, eastern Tibet and eastern areas of the region will continue to have rain or snow.
