Yang Lingna, a female delegate to the 16th CPC Congress, is vice captain of the No.3 Criminal Investigation Squad at Ningbo Municipal Police Bureau's Haishu Branch, in Zhejiang Province. During her tenure as a police officer over the past decade, she has served the community police station and the criminal investigation bureau. Thanks to her enthusiastic spirit and selfless contributions, she has played a central role in solving over 100 crimes and felonies. She is the only female criminal investigator to have been honored with the Personal Second-class Merit. Yang has also been awarded other titles such as National Model Worker, Second-class Hero Model for the National Police Front, National Excellent Youth Guard, National Excellent Police of the People, Zhejiang Provincial Model Worker and the Outstanding Youth of the Province winning greatest satisfaction from the people.
This summer, under the support of the Haishu district Party branch organization, Yang Lingna took part in many symposiums exchanging experiences on community Party building, harvesting a better understanding of the issues. New measures and methods should be developed and applied to meet the new challenges of Party building, such as building community Party organizations, creating methods of integrating Party organization with private enterprises and the management of migrant Party members. Yang Lingna would air some constructive suggestions on these subjects and learn and master the spirit of the 16th CPC congress before heralding to common people and party members.
Yang Lingna feels a stronger sense of duty since being elected as a delegate to the Party Congress. She said that as a community police officer, it's her duty to battle crime and protect the people. She will study the Party's theory hard to promote her level of understanding and practice the skills necessary to make herself an excellent and loyal guard of the people.
