Cao Bochun      

Cao Bochun, of the Han ethnic group, was born in November 1941. A Native of Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, Cao graduated from the Zhuzhou College of Aeronautical Industry and acquired a professional title of senior engineer. He began his career in December 1963 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in February 1966.

Cao is now a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee.

Cao's work experience is as follows:
December 1981-May 1983: deputy director of state-owned Plant No.331; May 1983-June 1984: deputy secretary of the CPC Zhuzhou City Committee and director of its Publicity Department, Hunan Province; June 1984-May 1990: secretary of the CPC Zhuzhou City Committee; May 1990-May 1991: secretary of the CPC Xiangtan City Committee; May 1991-June 1992: vice-governor of Hunan Province; June 1992-March 1995: deputy secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Dalian City Committee; March 1995-July 1997: deputy secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee. Since July 1997, Cao has been working as secretary of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee. He was delegate to the 13th CPC National Congress and an alternate member of the 14th CPC Central Committee and is a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee. He has served as deputy to the Ninth National People's Congress and also to the Ninth Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress.
