Wang Taihua      

Wang Taihua, a native of Xingguo, Jiangxi Province, was born in 1945. A graduate majored in Chinese from Jiangxi Teachers College, he served as vice-principal of the No. 3 Middle School in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi; director of the Publicity Department of CPC Ganzhou Municipal Committee; deputy commissioner of the Ganzhou prefectural government; deputy secretary of CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee; and secretary of CPC Hefei City Committee of Anhui Province.

He began to serve as deputy secretary of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee in January 1995 and became vice-governor and acting governor of Anhui in October 1998. On February 10, 1999, he was elected governor of Anhui at the second session of the Ninth Anhui Provincial People's Congress. He was an alternate member of the 14th CPC Central Committee and takes the same post in the 15th CPC Central Committee. He was also deputy to the Eighth National People's Congress. On January 6, 2000, he was appointed secretary of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee.
