Journalists' Assets Frozen in US$3.75m Defamation Lawsuit

Foxconn, a Taiwan-funded company, filed a lawsuit against two correspondents of the First Business Daily on July 10, claiming they damaged the company's reputation and demanded 30 million yuan (US$3. 75 million) in compensation and a freeze on the two reporters' personal property. It was the first case of its kind involving journalists but the case was later dropped.
