Earlier this month the Qinling Wild Animal Zoo in Shaanxi Province announced that a female monkey from a zoo in Xianyang, a city about 50 kilometers from the Qinling, had become Dian Dian's sweetheart! 

Dian Dian the monkey is happy nowadays because he met his true love last Thursday.

Dian Dian, a resident of Qinling Wild Animal Zoo in Shaanxi Province, failed in a battle for the throne in his monkey community and was expelled a year ago. He lived alone for a year and every time zookeepers sent him back to his group he was beaten-up.

Earlier this month it was announced that a female monkey from a zoo in Xianyang, a city about 50 kilometers from the Qinling zoo, had become Dian Dian's steady girlfriend.

So with a bit of female company things have improved greatly for Dian Dian!
