300,000 Young Fish Released in Yellow River

In central China's Henan Province, young fish are being released into the starting area of the river's lower reaches, called Huayuankou, in the provincial capital of Zhengzhou. Photo: Xinhua

 

Abput 300,000 young fish of various species have been released into the Yellow River on Monday.

 

Henan provincial fisheries departments explained that the move aims to boost the populations of aquatic species in the River.

 

Nearly 10 species of fish were released, including carp, loach, grass carp and silver carp.
