Adjust font size:

A farmer points to a well which is used to irrigate trees and farmland nearby in Ulan Buh Shamo Desert in the west of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on March 18, 2006. A shelter forest of some 1,300 hectares and about 100 wells had been built up here since 1997, offering protections for local environment. It is praised a man-made oasis in desert.
