Chart-topping pop singers helped out at a promotion on Thursday plugging the 2007 Beijing Pop Music Awards which will be held early next year.
Among the heavily manicured singers were JJ Lin, Taiwan singer Kenji Wu Ke Qun, and "Super Girl" champion Shang Wenjie. They have all enjoyed top positions on a music chart run by Beijing Music Radio, one of the award organizers.
Detailed promotional plans were announced on Thursday, with a free show featuring several pop stars to kick off a series of concerts from August 5.
The annual awards, scheduled on January 23, aim to honor regional contributors to the Mandopop scene.
