Hong Kong will hold a magnificent fireworks show, in celebration of its 10th anniversary handover to the motherland on July 1.
China Radio International reported on Thursday that a total of 31,888 fireworks are expected to light up the Hong Kong skyline.
It says the fireworks show will be highlighted by the lighting of the Chinese characters zhong, guo and ren, which together mean the Chinese people.
The celebrations sponsor, says the show is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of locals and tourists alike.
