In the last two years, Rain has spent most his time on a TV drama, a film and a Japanese album,"Eternal Rain".
Styling himself as an R&B artist, Rain embraces hip-hop on his new work, inviting many local A-list hip-hop singers to collaborate with him.
The production crew for the new album and his upcoming US-Asia tour includes several high-profile figures, including Jamie King, who has choreographed for Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
The idol expressed his confidence about the album and the concert tour to Korean media. "I hope my fans will still have fond memories of my concerts whenever they see the rain, even when they are 40 or 50 years old," he said.
As for the tour, titled "RAIN's Coming," more than 35 performances will be staged over six months starting December in the United States, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
