Jame Mosque, Kurle |
|
Jame Mosque was erected in 1961 on Southern Tuanjie St., Kurle. It is the largest in the city, and the most influential one in the prefecture.
The tall towers were built in the conventional Uygur style, but the eight windows that take the place of the usual decorative patterns beside the entry arch are a departure from tradition that is both functional and esthetically pleasing. |
