"I always feel that I am inferior to others, particularly in front of strangers, " said Yu, a student of the Huanghe Science and Technology College, while talking with the experts via hotline 12355 of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.
"According to our survey, sentimental setback is the most serious psychological problem haunting college students," said Yuan Linfang, who is in charge of the hotline.
The hotline's survey covered some 4,000 respondents, finding that sentimental setback, bad interpersonal relations, worry about future, and sleep-disorder are the most common problems among them.
"Failed love affairs, loss of confidence, poor interpersonal communication skills, and excessive dependence on their parents should be blamed for their sentimental setback. Besides, the demanding college courses contribute partly to the problem, too," said Yuan.
