EU recently provided 10 billion euros to 20 universities and institutes in China to support their European studies.
"This is another successful cooperation between Chinese and European higher educational institutions," said Dong Lisheng, the Chinese executive of EU-China European Studies Centers Program, which mainly studies the economy, politics, legal system, culture and history of Europe. The program provides a wealth of precious information to both the Chinese government and enterprises.
At present, Peking University and Renmin University of China have established their first master's degree programs on European studies.
