Adjust font size:

UNICEF is encouraging children to paint their young hearts out. The subject this year: Planet Earth. The children's contest started this week in Shanghai.

40 kids from all around China took up brushes to paint the planet, as they see it. The 10-meter scroll was unrolled at Shanghai's Zhongfu Children's Center.

UNICEF offered a wide-reaching theme this year: New life and the wonderful world. Youngsters between three and eighteen, wherever they may be, are welcome to join in. 300 awards and 10,000 "Love Certificates" will be presented to participants.

The most amazing works will be selected and printed, as charity postcards. And there'll be a one-month exhibition tour, through New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts, next year.
