CE to Officiate at HK's Achievements Exhibition in Beijing

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Chief Executive Donald Tsang will leave for Beijing on June 26 to officiate at the opening ceremony of the HKSAR 10th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition, according to information from the Information Services Department on Thursday.

Organized by the HKSAR Government, the exhibition, which will open on June 27, will be held at the Capital Museum from June 28 to July 17. It will showcase the successful implementation of the "One country, two systems" principle, as well as the achievements of the HKSAR in areas such as economy, trade, tourism, culture, environmental protection and co-operation with the Chinese mainland in the past 10 years since its return to the motherland.

According to the department, the Chief Executive's entourage will include Hong Kong Financial Secretary Henry Tang, Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands Michael Suen, Secretary for the Civil Service Denise Yue and Director of the Chief Executive's Office John Tsang.

Tsang will return to Hong Kong on June 28. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui will be the acting Chief Executive, the department said.
