Displaying their cultural roots, American-Chinese formed a galaxy of stars at the current annual Chinese Stars Arts Festival in Chicago.
A 2,000-strong audience gathered as artists from across China and the United States collaborated to present sounds and images of their ancestry.
Popular tunes from 1980's China echoed on and off the stage, evoking a strong sense of home for overseas Chinese. Another highlight was a fashion show - displaying a floating beauty of the Imperial Palace - the Forbidden City's architecture, culture and history.
The Chinese Stars Arts Festival has been a traditional event for overseas Chinese - promoting communication and understanding between the two countries.
