China's most famous female comic, Song Dandan, has written about her three marriages and real feelings about life in her first book, the Modern Express reported.
Making fun of herself, Song said she hoped her book would not be used as toilet paper. In the book, the comic tells her story and profiles several key personalities in her life, including her ex-husband, famous comic director Ying Da, and career partner, big-name comic Zhao Benshan.
She tied the knot at the age of 24 with her first husband after three months of courtship. The relation lasted just one year and then they divorced. But Song Dandan never revealed the name of her first husband to the public because she made a promise to him before she became famous.
Ying Da, the famous comic director, was her second husband who went through 10 years of happiness and sadness with her. She remembered the time when Ying Da earned his first substantial paycheck and they threw the money in the air in the house. After part of the money landed on the ceiling fan, they had to turn on the fan to retrieve the money. Song said she and Ying Da trusted each other for nine and a half years until she learned Ying Da had an affair. She did too, her first-ever.
Song married her present husband 28 days after she first met him. She said she is very happy at present.
Zhao Benshan and Song Dandan are regular faces at the almost every year's Spring Festival Gala Evening, the most important annual festival ceremony in China. Talking about her partner, Song said Zhao Benshan always forgets lines during rehearsals. However, the lines are delivered smoothly from his mouth as soon as he gets up on stage.
