The chairman and vice-chairmen of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top advisory body, held their 37th meeting Friday.
Chairman Li Ruihuan presided over the meeting, which focused on the issues of personnel changes and preparations for the coming Fifth Session of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee, which is due to open early next month.
The meeting passed draft resolutions on the appointments of several new members of the CPPCC National Committee and the removal of some current members.
The meeting also appointed executive chairpersons for the coming annual session.
