The Mintai Book Corporation has been approved by China's State Press and Publication Administration as the first publication enterprise to be jointly invested by the mainland and Taiwan.

The Fujian Foreign Language Bookstore and Taiwan Publication Association are the two investors behind the Corporation. President of the Corporation Mr. Xie Shengxin told reporters that the cooperation was one that was between relatives, and based on mutual development.

The Fujian investor will also visit Taiwan to set up a similar corporation, allowing a constant flow of books between the mainland and Taiwan.
