May Day with workers: Premier Wen Jiabao has lunch with workers of the Shougang Group yesterday. During an inspection tour, Wen extended the International Labor Day greetings to the workers of the iron and steel company in Caofeidian, north China's Hebei Province.

President Hu Jintao, too, spent the Labor Day visiting farmers and workers in Central China's Henan Province. Hu told farmers yesterday and the day before that the central government will continue its favorable agricultural policies and make more efforts to ensure that farmers, especially those growing grains, get real benefits.
