An auctioneer accepts bids for 'Big Eyes,' a famous photograph by Xie Hailong. This photograph attracted 280,000 yuan (US$35,623), the highest bid of the night at Beijing Huachen Auctions Co Ltd's annual autumn auction. It was the first time photography had been auctioned in China. Xie said he would donate the proceeds to help pay for the construction of a Hope Project Primary School in Tibet.
