Thirty 10-year-old kids, whose birthdays are on July 1, were granted free tours of Hong Kong Disneyland on Sunday.

A report on the website of the People's Daily said the "free pass" is a special activity sponsored by the park to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the mainland.

The 30 lucky children became the first beneficiaries because they were born on the exact day when the city returned to the motherland. Twenty-five of them come from Hong Kong and the rest are from Guangdong Province.

The sponsor plans to invite all children born in 1997, from all over the world, to visit the park.

Eligible families can apply for a free ticket after the activity kicks off on May 15. With this pass, they can take the trip any time within a year.
   
More than 5.2 million tourists visited Hong Kong Disneyland in the past year, according to a public relations official from the park.
