1st Tunnel Under Yangtze River

Construction of the Wuhan-Yangtze River Highway Tunnel has been accelerated. The tunnel lies between the Wuhan-Yangtze River Bridge and the second Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan and will be the first to cross the Yangtze River. The tunnel is 3,630 meters long and will be open to traffic by the end of 2008.
