The bodies of three other miners were recovered Wednesday, bringing the death toll from a quarry collapse in central China's Henan Province to six.
The rescue operation ended late Wednesday, said the rescuers, who managed to save seven people from the collapsed ruins.
According to a local government source, the collapse occurred around 7:30 AM Monday at a quarry near Nanwang Village in Neixiang County.
More than 50 rescuers were mobilized to search for trapped miners.
The county government held a conference Monday to reinforce safety measures and closed down all quarries in the county pending a safety examination.
The owners of the quarry are being held by local police while the cause of the collapse is being investigated.
