China's great panda habitat was included into the World Heritage List Wednesday at the 30th session of the World Heritage Committee in Lithuania.
Another Chinese site applying for inscription, the ruins of the Shang Dynasty capital in Anyang city, Henan Province, is pending for discussion in the afternoon.
The 30th session of the World Heritage Committee unanimously agreed to include the Panda Habitat into the List, Wang Fengwu, member of the Chinese delegation to the meeting, told Xinhua.
"We greatly thank the Chinese government to submit such a good application to the WHC to enrich the World Heritage List," said Ian Marciulionyte, chairperson of the 30th session of the World Heritage Committee.
