Lien Chan Stops over in HK Before Attending Cross-Straits Forum

Kuomintang (KMT) Honorary Chairman Lien Chan, who leads a KMT delegation for the cross-Straits economic and trade forum in Beijing, arrived at the Hong Kong Airport Thursday morning.

 

 

The 100-odd delegation includes Lien Fang-yu, wife of Lien Chan; KMT Vice Chairman Jiang Bing-kun; and some other KMT elite, as well as experts, scholars and representatives from Taiwan economic and trade sectors.

 

Lien and his delegation were received at the airport by Assistant Director of the Taiwan Work Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Xing Kuishan, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government Secretary for Constitutional Affairs Stephen Lam Sui-lung.

 

Lien will leave here for Beijing Thursday afternoon.
