Statistics show the flight passenger flow carried by domestic airlines during the Spring Festival national vacation period (January 29-February 4) has reached 2.9 million, up 12.3 percent from last year.

China's Civil Aviation Administration released the figure on Sunday.

It is also reported that nearly 90 percent of air passengers traveled between provincial capitals as well as major tourism destinations.
