Anti-dumping Duties Imposed on Imported BPA
Adjust font size:

Chinese importers of BPA (Bisphenol-A) will have to pay anti-dumping duties from Thursday to offset damage caused by BPA producers in Japan, Singapore, Republic of Korea, and Taiwan.

This follows the conclusion reached by the Ministry of Commerce that BPA exports from these countries and regions have constituted dumping and inflicted losses to local manufacturers.

The foreign exporters and manufacturers accused of dumping include Mitsui Chemicals, Inc, UMHO P&B Chemicals, Inc, MITSUI PHENOLS SINGAPORE PTE,LTD, and the Na Ya Plastics Corporation.

BPA, a type of organic chemical, is mainly used in producing antiseptic and paint.

China started the anti-dumping investigation into imported BPA on Aug. 30 last year.
