China-ASEAN Dialogue Relations

The ASEAN-China dialogue relations were launched in 1991 with China becoming ASEAN's full dialogue partner in 1996. The two sides established a strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in 2003. Recent years have witnessed a rapid and comprehensive growth of ASEAN-China relations, yielding fruitful outcomes through extensive and in-depth exchanges. Cooperation between the two sides came in the political, economic, trade, social and cultural fields, among others.
